Shopping on Fifth Avenue in Naples

naples today

WARM, BEAUTIFUL AND COSMOPOLITAN

Naples is known for its white sand beaches ranked among the best in the country.

It has upscale shopping with boutiques featuring a selection of famous designer originals in various chic shopping areas. Saks, Brooks Brothers, Hermès, Gucci, Cartier, and Tiffany & Co will soon be joined by Nordstrom at the Waterside Shops.

Naples has an outstanding cultural center with an art museum and a philharmonic hall that frequently hosts internationally known artists.

There are many fine hotels. Naples is one of two cities in the World that have two Ritz Carlton Hotels.

For the sports oriented, there are hundreds of tennis courts, and over 80 golf courses, mostly in private gated communities. There is also boating, off-shore fishing for big game fish, and flats fly fishing (my interest) for tarpon, snook, and redfish.

Unlike many "boom" towns that grew with little attention to aesthetics, concern for the visual environment is evident throughout the Naples area. You will find many boulevards with medians that are beautifully landscaped with palm trees and flowering plants.

Residents, visitors, and especially those who commute on weekends, appreciate the convenience of Southwest Florida International Airport which offers direct flights to many US and foreign cities. It is a 10 to 40 minute drive from most areas in Collier and Lee counties.
