AND WHY I CHOSE TO REPRESENT BUYERS ONLY

After receiving my bachelors and masters degrees in architectural engineering from The Catholic University of America, I served a tour of duty in the U. S. Army. I then worked five years for an architectural firm before I started my own architectural firm in Ohio. Over the years, my firm designed office buildings, country clubs, schools, multi-family complexes, and numerous large custom residences.

In 1997, after many years of successful practice, my wife Jane and I concluded it was time to move to warm and sunny Naples. It was also time for a new career challenge, even though I very much enjoyed the practice of architecture. I chose real estate as it relates well to my architectural background. Exclusive buyer’s representation particularly appealed to me because, by not taking listings, it essentially precludes the potential conflict of interest inherent in representing the buyer and the seller in the same transaction. This specialized form of real estate practice led me to join The Buyer's Broker of Southwest Florida, founded by Tom Coler over 18 years ago.
